State Legislative Coordinators (SLC) and AAOHN Advocates meet every other month with association staff via teleconference to share governmental affairs activities and local/state advocacy issues. For your reference, listed below are the summaries of these meetings.

September 2008 - National Nurse Initiative, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission Comprehensive Wellness Accreditation Standards and Measures, ANA Standards for Hospital Care Outcomes and Efficiency, Proposed Revised Standards ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-200x Minimum Requirments for Workplace First Aid Kits and Supplies, Consensus Model for APRN Regulation update, Florida HR Bill 4651 Improving Access to Workers' Compensation for Injured Federal Workers Act, Doctorate of Nursing Practice


July 2008 - HHS stockpiling, FMCSA update, APRN consensus model update, Ohio vocational rehabilitation proposal update, New York NSO changes and standing orders finalized, Alabama & Pennsylvania NLC updates


May 2008 - OSHA semi-annual regulatory agenda, ADA & FMLA update, New York standing order update, Ohio NLC update


March 2008 - FMLA Restoration Act of 2007, ADA Restoration Act of 2007 update, New York standing order update, California advance practice nurses and prescriptive authority, OHIO NLC update and vocational rehabilitation proposal


January 2008 - FY 2008 national budget regarding occupational health, ADA Restoration Act of 2007, New York non-specific standing orders issue, Oregon NLC update, Georgia creating state OSHA
