The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) Foundation is a 501©(3) tax-exempt organization founded by the AAOHN in 1997. The AAOHN Foundation supports the mission of a healthy and safe workforce by seeking and awarding the means to provide for the advancement of the occupational and environmental health profession.
This mission is accomplished through OHNs’ grants and scholarships dedicated to promote:
- Professional Education
- Leadership Development
- Research Initiatives
Why is there urgent need to support OHN? OHNs impact productivity by mitigating workplace injury and illness, increasing regulatory and legislative compliance, promoting employee, family and public health; and providing leadership in supporting business productivity. When given the tools of education and best practice, OHNs mitigate the tremendous toll in human and economic costs of workplace illnesses and injuries.
