Purpose: The purpose of the Approver unit is to promote and improve competency in occupational and environmental health nursing practice (and nurses in other disciplines interacting with the health and safety of employees and employee communities) by fostering and approving professional continuing nursing educational activities.
This purpose is supported through the provision of peer review approval for programs and offerings developed by AAOHN chapters and other providers of continuing nursing education (CNE) with a target audience that includes occupational and environmental health nurses.
