About the Program
Pandemic preparedness is clearly on the minds of most health professionals and business stakeholders. Current occupational and environmental health nurse (OHN) involvement ranges from writing business response plans to consultation. Clearly, OHNs need to be frontline players in any employer-related pandemic response plan.
Separating fact from fiction, staying current with reliable pandemic information and grounding response planners is essential. Employee education, disease prevention, disability management, emotional support and possible supply chain interruptions are a few practice-related challenges that need your attention now.
