Volunteers for the 2008 Annual Symposium & Expo are vital to the success of the program. Any AAOHN member interested in serving as a volunteer for the pre-Symposium Workshops, Lunch & Learns and the Symposium Proper are invited to register online during the online registration period at www.aaohn.org. Or, the volunteer registration form, AS&E Volunteer Registration Form with your AS&E Registration Form can be sent via fax or mail with your registration for pre-Symposium Workshops and the Symposium Proper. Please see the descriptions of the volunteer positions below.
Monitors assist with pre-Symposium Workshops (excluding the certificate programs) and Lunch & Learn sessions. Monitors are responsible for coordinating the smooth operation of the course, alerting the AAOHN Education Office to any problems/concerns, and assisting faculty and participants as needed. Monitors must participate fully in the course to receive credit. The course registration fee is waived in exchange for performing the duties listed. Monitors are required to serve as Presiders for an equal number of concurrent sessions during Symposium Proper.
Presiders oversee the execution of concurrent sessions during the Symposium Proper (Tuesday, April 29 – Thursday, May 1). They perform the same duties listed above and must participate fully in the course to receive credit. Presiders do not receive complimentary symposium registration.
| Each session includes a volunteer registration option (Pre-Symposium Certificate Programs are excluded).
Each session has the capacity for 3 volunteers for pre-Symposium Workshops and Lunch & Learn sessions and 5 volunteers for Symposium Proper concurrent sessions. Choosing a course option automatically registers you for that particular session. If a session has reached the volunteer limit, there will be a “sold out” button next to it. Please choose another option and move on to your next course selection. If you choose to volunteer for pre-Symposium Workshops or Lunch & Learn sessions, you MUST volunteer for an equal number of concurrent sessions during the Symposium Proper. |
NOTE: Education office time slots will not be available to volunteers at this year’s symposium.
