AAOHN INDUCTS NEW OFFICERS AND 2007 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ATLANTA (April 25, 2007) — The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. (AAOHN) inducted its 2007 board of directors, including three new officers, on April 17 during the association’s Annual Symposium & Expo in Orlando, Fla.

"I'm so pleased to have such a dynamic and talented board of directors who are all leaders in occupational and environmental health nursing," said newly elected President Richard Kowalski, AAOHN’s first male president. "We are fortunate to have this outstanding group of professionals volunteer their time to advance the profession of occupational and environmental health nursing. Occupational and environmental health nurses strive everyday to ensure healthy and safe work and community environments, while serving as business partners whose health and safety programs improve corporate profitability."

Elected last fall, the officers inducted on April 17 include President Richard Kowalski, RN, MSA, COHN-S, Northern Michigan Occupational Health Consultants; President-Elect Kay N. Campbell, EdD, RN-C, COHN-S, FAAOHN, GlaxoSmithKline; and Secretary Pamela L. Carter, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN, Albemarle County.
