AAOHN INDUCTS NEW OFFICERS,
ANNOUNCES 2003 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ATLANTA (May 6, 2003) — The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) today inducted its 2003 board of directors, including four new officers who officially begin their terms in conjunction with the AAOHN Annual Business Meeting.
"I'm so pleased to have such a dynamic and talented board of directors who are all leaders in occupational and environmental health nursing," said AAOHN President Susan A. Randolph, one of the officers inducted this morning. "As we move forward under the policy governance model, we will be linking more with members and chapters to shape the future of occupational and environmental health nursing and the association. We will also explore linkages with stakeholder groups to address shared issues. This is truly an exciting time for all of us."
Elected last fall, the officers inducted today include President Susan A. Randolph, MSN, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN of UNC-Chapel Hill; Vice President Kathleen G. McAndrew, MSN, ARNP, of the University of Massachusetts; Secretary Kay N. Campbell, EdD, RN-C, COHN-S of GlaxoSmithKline, and Treasurer Beverley D. Tobias, MBA, RN, COHN-S, with Solectron.
Joining the AAOHN Board of Directors for the first time are Phyllis A. Berryman, MBA, RN, COHN-S/CM, of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association; and Grace Paranzino, MS, RN, CHES of Drexel University. Re-elected directors include Denise Gillen, BSN, RN, COHN-S/CM of New Mexico Spine Center; Marsha Bernard Kuhar, PhD, MSN, RN, FAAOHN of Nationwide Insurance Co; and Jean Randolph, MPA, RN, COHN-S/CM of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
In addition to the newly elected board members, those continuing their service to the board are Elaine Brown, BS, RN, COHN-S/CM; Pamela Carter, RN, COHN-S; Rachel Ebert, MS, RNP, COHN; Richard Kowalski, MSA, RN, COHN-S; Margaret Matsui, BSN, RN, CRRN, COHN-S; Nan Migliozzi, MSN, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN; Carol Parks, BSN, RN, COHN-S/CM; Lori A. Schaumleffel, COHN-S, CCM, ARM; Sandra Simpson, APRN, BC, COHN-S, CCM; and Thomas G. Smock, RN, BS.
