ATLANTA (August 15, 2006) — The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. (AAOHN) will offer "Safety Management Seminar: Certification Review" in Las Vegas, Nev., October 2-4, 2006. This in-depth 3-day seminar is designed to educate participants on the role of the safety manager and review the material for the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses, Inc. (ABOHN) Safety Management Certification Examination and the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Exam.

Topics covered include mathematics, physics, industrial hygiene, engineering and environmental concepts and problems, along with practice with a scientific calculator. The seminar offers 18.0 continuing nursing education contact hours. AAOHN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The faculty for this seminar is Sarah R. Budde, RN, COHN, CSP. Ms. Budde is well rounded in all aspects of occupational health and safety and has served as Safety Leader for SCA Personal Care Products and Weyerhaeuser for eight years. As owner and manager of a health and safety service, her current focus is working with management teams and occupational health and safety professionals and helping companies select and implement workplace safety initiatives.
