Economic Downturn, Soaring Travel Prices Lead to Meeting Cancellation

Pre-conference Physical Assessment Certificate Program Still On!

The recent economic slowdown, skyrocketing energy costs and declining enrollment are major factors contributing to the cancellation of the 2008 Conference for Leadership Advancement (CLA) scheduled for September 10-12 and the certificate program, Safety Management: Level II—Examination Review and companion Math Review, scheduled September 7-10. These meetings were to be held in Atlanta.

Due to demand, enrollment remains open for the certificate program, Physical Assessment: Putting It All Together, which will be presented September 8-10 in Atlanta.

To meet the needs of AAOHN newly elected chapter leaders, portions of the CLA curriculum will be presented at the 2009 AAOHN Symposium & Expo (AS&E) on Sunday, April 19, 2009 in Orlando. Details will be available later this year.

In response to member demand for business and leadership knowledge and skills, AAOHN is exploring alternative ways of presenting these topics.
