An Invitation to Join Us in Salt Lake City
The AAOHN Board of Directors, Local Coordinating Committee and AAOHN Staff are pleased this year to be presenting the 2008 Symposium & Expo in beautiful and vibrant Salt Lake City April 25-May 1, 2008.
The “Crossroads of the West” is nestled in a valley at the foot of two mountain ranges, surrounded by canyons that each spring are adorned with impromptu waterfalls and awash with wildflowers.
As attractive as the area will be this spring, the real attraction is our annual Symposium.
Your AAOHN membership gives you access to current knowledge, accurate information and trusted resources throughout the year, but Symposium gives you the opportunity, in a minimal amount of time, to acquire a broad range of skills, depth of knowledge and wealth of information needed to meet the challenges of providing, maintaining and preserving workplace and community health and safety.
A large part of these skills and knowledge can be found in our three pre-Symposium Certificate Programs & Workshops. This year I’m especially excited about our three certificate program offerings—Safety Management, Physical Assessment: Putting It All Together, and Practical Ergonomics.
While Symposium is always an enriching educational experience, it is an equally rewarding social experience. Attendees have numerous opportunities to not only “exchange notes” with their peers but also initiate and develop lasting friendships.
If you have attended a previous Symposium, then you know what an inspiring and motivating experience it can be.
If you have yet to attend your first Symposium, please accept our invitation to join us in Salt Lake City.
On behalf of AAOHN, I look forward to seeing you there!
Prepare. Accomplish. Succeed.
Sincerely,
Richard Kowalski, RN, MSA, COHN-S
President
