- Conference, event, webinar, continuing education, and program registration information;
- Education, certification, accreditation, continuing education, and credentialing-related information;

- Volunteer, committee, leadership, award, speaker, author, exhibitor, sponsor, advertiser, or partner information;
- Photographs, videos, biographies, presentation materials, and other content you provide for events, publications, directories, online communities, or AAOHN programs;

We may also collect information about companies, institutions, or other organizations with which you are associated, including corporate membership contacts, sponsor contacts, exhibitor contacts, advertiser contacts, and other business contact information.

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:

- Referring website or source;
- Pages viewed;
- Date and time of visits;

- To communicate with you about AAOHN membership, events, programs, publications, opportunities, services, products, and updates;

- To provide member communities, forums, discussion boards, directories, collaboration tools, and networking opportunities;
- To administer surveys, evaluations, polls, research, and quality improvement initiatives;
- To manage volunteer, committee, leadership, award, speaker, author, sponsor, exhibitor, advertiser, and partner activities;
- To personalize and improve your experience with the Services;
- To analyze use of the Services, measure engagement, assess campaign performance, improve content, and develop new programs or services;

- To detect, prevent, investigate, or address fraud, security incidents, misuse, unlawful activity, or violations of AAOHN policies or terms;

A. Service Providers and Vendors
We may disclose personal information to service providers, vendors, contractors, and other third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including:
- Website hosting providers;
- Data hosting providers;
- Membership management platforms;
- Conference and event registration providers;
- Mobile application and event platform providers;
- Learning management and continuing education providers;
- Payment processors;
- Email, marketing, and communications providers;
- Survey and evaluation providers;
- Analytics providers;

- IT, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention providers;

B. Members, Directories, Forums, and Online Communities
If you are an AAOHN member or participate in AAOHN programs, we may make certain information available to other AAOHN members, participants, or users through membership directories, online communities, discussion forums, collaboration portals, event attendee lists, committee rosters, speaker listings, volunteer opportunities, or similar features.
This information may include your name, professional title, employer, business contact information, chapter or affiliate information, profile information, photograph, biography, event attendance, or other information you choose to make available.
Please use caution when posting or sharing information in member directories, forums, message boards, online communities, or event platforms. Information you disclose in these areas may be visible to other users or participants. AAOHN is not responsible for the independent actions of other users who receive or view information through these features.
C. Conferences, Events, Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Affiliated Partners
If you register for or participate in AAOHN conferences, webinars, events, educational programs, or similar offerings, we may disclose relevant registration, attendance, badge, contact, or engagement information to event organizers, venues, exhibitors, sponsors, advertisers, speakers, continuing education partners, mobile application providers, or other affiliated partners.
For example, if you allow your badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor, attend a sponsored session, participate in an exhibitor activity, or otherwise choose to interact with an event partner, we may share your information with that partner. Those partners may use your information in accordance with their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice or choice before sharing personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
D. Legal, Safety, and Compliance Purposes

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and other tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) on our Website to collect information about you, your device, and the web browser you use to access our Website.
A cookie is a small text file that our Website saves onto your computer or device when you use the Website that provides us certain information about your activities. Cookies allow the Website to remember your actions and preferences and recognize you or your browser. Web beacons / pixel tags are small graphics on a webpage that monitor your activity when viewing a webpage.

- tailor our interactions with you;
- help with our marketing efforts;
- provide us with valuable data and statistics about the usage and effectiveness of our Website;
- to help us improve our Website; and
- help us improve our Services.

Do Not Track. We do not currently employ a process for automatically responding to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals sent by web browsers, mobile devices, or other mechanisms. Global Privacy Control. You can use the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) through a supported browser to signal certain of your opt-out preferences. If you use the GPC, we will process your request for your browser, but it will not apply outside of that browser to your device. Google uses this information to provide us with reports that we use to better understand and measure how users interact with our Site.

- Email Communications. When you register through our Collection Places, you may have the option to subscribe to receive information about our Services. Each commercial email we send includes instructions on how to unsubscribe from future marketing messages.
Please allow up to 10 business days for us to process your unsubscribe request. In some cases, we may have already shared your information with authorized third parties before your preferences were updated, and you may briefly continue to receive emails during that time.
Please note that we may still send transactional or relationship emails, such as messages related to your membership, purchases, or event registrations, even if you opt out of marketing emails.

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying “STOP.” After you send “STOP,” we may send one additional message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.
You will no longer receive text messages from that number or short code, although you may continue to receive messages if you are subscribed to other text programs.
Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send administrative or service-related messages related to your use of our Services.
6. Public Forums
Our Website may offer public forums such as message boards, chat rooms, or other interactive areas. We may also link to third-party websites that offer similar public spaces. A link to a third-party website does not mean that we endorse that site or its services. If you choose to visit a third-party website, any information you provide there will be governed by that website’s privacy policy—not this Privacy Policy. AAOHN is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. AAOHN and our Service Providers use physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards designed to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee that your personal information, online activity, or communications will always remain secure. You should use care when sharing personal information and when protecting any username or password.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. When the information is no longer needed for those purposes, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or destroy it from our systems. We will also make reasonable efforts to ensure that our Service Providers delete or destroy personal information they maintain on our behalf. In some circumstances, we may retain personal information for longer periods if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal obligations, or court orders.
In determining how long to retain personal information, we consider factors such as the nature of the information, the purposes for which it was collected, legal obligations, and operational requirements.

Sale/Sharing for targeted advertising: AAOHN does not sell personal information. AAOHN does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (also called targeted advertising) as those terms may be defined under certain U.S. state privacy laws.
Sensitive personal information: AAOHN uses sensitive personal information only for purposes such as providing services, credentialing, security, fraud prevention, and compliance with law, as described above, and not to infer characteristics about you for targeted advertising.
Non-discrimination: AAOHN will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
- Authorized agents (where applicable). In some U.S. states, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized, and we may also require you to verify your identity directly with us.
